The School Council Elections:
On 2nd May, Mountview transformed into something extraordinary — a living model of democracy.
The School Council Elections were not treated as a symbolic activity. They became an experience. Students filed nominations, designed campaigns, presented manifestos, spoke to their peers, cast votes through ballot papers, and proudly carried ink marks on their fingers — each step helping them understand responsibility, leadership, and the power of choice.
Mother's Day celebrations :
For our Playway and Nursery wings, the school became a celebration arena where mothers joined their little ones for games, music, dances, poems, and joyful ramp walks. Tiny hands held tightly onto mothers, proud eyes sparkled, and memories were made that will remain long after photographs fade.
Across other classes, students explored meaningful ways to express love beyond words.
LABOUR DAY :
May began with Labour Day — not simply as a holiday, but as an opportunity to pause and appreciate the countless hands that make every school day possible.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony for Academic and Sports Excellence (Session 2025–26). :
The stage glittered with trophies, medals, smiles, and proud moments as the top three achievers of every class were honoured for their dedication and consistency. But beyond medals and ranks, the ceremony celebrated something larger — perseverance, discipline, and the courage to keep improving.
LABOUR DAY
The Invisible Heroes We Chose to Make Visible
May began with Labour Day — not simply as a holiday, but as an opportunity to pause and appreciate the countless hands that make every school day possible.
Before the first school bell rings, classrooms are cleaned, floors are mopped, buses are checked, gates are opened, washrooms are prepared, power systems are monitored, desks are arranged, and the campus is made ready for children to walk into comfort, safety, and care.
At Mount View, we wanted our students to see this unseen world.
Through interactive smart-class sessions, discussions, and activities, our young learners were introduced to the people behind the smooth rhythm of school life — the housekeeping staff, the gatekeepers, the attendants, the drivers and transport staff, the electricians, and the many helping hands who work tirelessly without seeking applause.
For our senior students, the conversations went deeper — into dignity of labour, humility, empathy, and respect. They explored the history behind Labour Day and reflected on a simple but powerful truth: no work is small when it serves others.
And perhaps that was the most meaningful lesson of all.
Democracy Walked Through Our Hallways, The School Council Elections
On 2nd May, Mount view transformed into something extraordinary — a living model of democracy.
The School Council Elections were not treated as a symbolic activity. They became an experience. It was learning that could never be fully understood through chapters alone. At Mount view, leadership is not assigned. It is discovered.

A Morning of Applause and Achievement The month also brought one of the most awaited celebrations of the year
The stage glittered with trophies, medals, smiles, and proud moments as the top three achievers of every class were honoured for their dedication and consistency. But beyond medals and ranks, the ceremony celebrated something larger — perseverance, discipline, and the courage to keep improving.
Because excellence at Mount view is not measured only by marks. It is measured by effort, resilience, and growth.
As each name was announced and every student walked onto the stage amidst applause, it became evident that academic success is not achieved overnight. Behind every trophy lies a year of focused effort, determination, support from teachers and parents, and countless hours of learning.
Sports awards were presented to students who showcased outstanding athletic ability, teamwork, resilience, discipline, and sportsmanship during the various track and field events conducted throughout the session. The ceremony sent a powerful message to every learner that excellence is not about competing with others, but about striving to become a better version of oneself every day.
Congratulations to all The Winners & Their Parents
Mother's Day
A Week Wrapped in a Mother's Love
Mother’s Day celebrations filled the campus with warmth, laughter, creativity, and emotion.
For our Playway and Nursery wings, the school became a celebration arena where mothers joined their little ones for games, music, dances, poems, and joyful ramp walks. Tiny hands held tightly onto mothers, proud eyes sparkled, and memories were made that will remain long after photographs fade.
Across other classes, students explored meaningful ways to express love beyond
words. Some designed greeting cards, some wrote poems, some recorded heartfelt messages, some danced to tunes that celebrate a mother while others planned thoughtful ways to help mothers take a break from their daily routines — whether by helping with chores or creating little moments of “me time” for them.
In a fast-moving world, these activities reminded children that love is often found in the smallest gestures.
Mountview's young athletes made the school proud at the Mohali Cup Open Taekwondo Championship
This month, Mountview’s young athletes made the school proud at the Mohali Cup Open Taekwondo Championship.
- Aadya Sharma brought home two Gold Medals in Kyorugi and Poomsae.
- Kushal Mehra secured Gold in the Para Taekwondo Championship.
- Reedan won Gold in Kyorugi.
- Reedansh earned Bronze in Kyorugi.
Their victories reflect not only talent, but also discipline, consistency, and fearless determination.
And with preparations already underway for the Interschool Sports Competitions, Punjabi Association Athletics and Khedo-Watan-e-Punjab Tournament, students are training enthusiastically in Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Handball, Basketball, Netball, Taekwondo, Badminton, Chess, and Tug of War — proving once again that learning also happens on courts and playgrounds.
At Mountview, sports are not treated as an “extra activity.” They are nurtured as pathways to confidence, professional growth, and lifelong strength.
The Gentle Hands of Our Guiding Shadows
And before we close this edition, Mountview wishes to celebrate a group of individuals whose work often happens quietly, but leaves the deepest impact — our Playway and Nursery teachers – Ms. Bharti, Ms Monika, Ms Geeta, and Ms Sonia. For many children, the first day of school is also the first day away from home.
With extraordinary patience, warmth, and care, these educators transformed tears into smiles, hesitation into comfort, and anxiety into excitement. From helping children settle at the gate to encouraging independent eating habits without screens, from engaging little minds joyfully to making classrooms feel emotionally safe — their dedication has been remarkable.
