Back to Books, Back to Wonder With Creativity, Colours and Joyful Learning
July burst into action as our vibrant campus reopened its doors after the month-long summer break. The quiet corridors instantly transformed into buzzing galleries of innovation echoing cheerful voices, holiday stories, curious questions and eager smiles.
Our students returned from their June break carrying more than holiday memories — they arrived with an impressive showcase of holiday homework models, 3D projects, and detailed charts, each one a small window into how they had spent their time off exploring, building, and creating.
From functioning science models to creative language projects, these exhibitions brilliantly showcased how our students transformed their summer curiosity into tangible learning.
Monsoon Day: Celebrating Nature's Rhythm
Nature Doesn’t Use a Blackboard But The Sun, The Wind, And The Rain
India is a land where the seasons don’t just change; they transform the world. Nothing announces a new season quite like the first rain, and our students marked it in style with Monsoon Day celebrations across the school. At Mountview International School, during monsoons, we don’t hide from the rain; we learn from it. Our covered “Rain-Play Pavilions” allow children to hear the pitter-patter and watch the clouds without getting soaked, turning a stormy day into a lesson on water cycles and paper-boat engineering.
To welcome the rainy season, our Pre-Nursery and Nursery wings celebrated “Blue Day.” Tiny tots arrived dressed in beautiful shades of blue, participating in sensory activities that introduced them to the concepts of water and rain with the joy of sailing their paper boats.
Across the senior classes, students engaged in thematic art and craft activities, sketching raindrops, umbrellas, and grey skies onto paper. seamlessly blending seasonal joy with creative expression. Beyond the fun, these activities sharpen sensory awareness and creative expression, helping children connect what happens in the classroom to the world changing right outside their window.
Language Immersion: Cultivating Confident Communicators

- Spell Bee (English & Hindi): Students across classes engaged in fierce spelling battles to expand their vocabulary and linguistic accuracy.
- Hindi Handwriting Competition (Classes 1 to 8): We celebrated the art of penmanship, encouraging students to develop neat, legible, and beautiful handwriting.

Kargil Vijay Diwas: Honouring Valor
Mount View Family Remembers the Heroes Who Protect Our Today, Our Tomorrow
Patriotism and respect for our nation’s heroes remain core values at our school. To commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas, Class 3 Lotus took the helm and conducted a deeply moving special assembly and honoured the courage of our armed forces.
It’s a school tradition to hand different classes the responsibility of hosting assemblies for different occasions, giving every class its turn at the stage and a chance to own a piece of history. This ensures that every student gets a chance to build leadership skills and understand the historical significance of national events. Hearing our youngest students speak about sacrifice and patriotism is always a moving reminder that some lessons are learned best not through textbooks, but through the sincerity of a child’s voice.
Mart Visit:
Taking the Classroom to the Aisles
We strongly believe that real-world exposure solidifies classroom theory. This month, Classes 1 and 2 embarked on a highly interactive Mart Visit designed to impart practical life skills. Teachers guided the students through the aisles, decoding the secrets of everyday shopping. Students learned to identify the FSSAI logo for food safety, distinguish between vegetarian and non-vegetarian packaging symbols, and locate the ‘Use By’ dates and MRPs.
Beyond consumer awareness, the trip served as a masterclass in social etiquette. Students practiced standing patiently in billing queues, interacting politely with cashiers, and confidently managing their own small purchases using their pocket money.

A Teacher's Quiet Triumph: Ms. Geeta's Story
Every Child Deserves Someone Who Believes in Them
At the heart of our school’s success is the personalized attention our educators provide to every single child. This month, we extend a very special applause to Ms. Geeta, our Nursery educator.
She noticed that one of our bright young minds was finding it difficult to stay attentive, constantly distracted by purely fun activities, and showing no interest in holding a pencil. Instead of forcing the issue, Ms. Geeta met him where he was. She ingeniously utilized a play-way method to capture his attention. By integrating the pencil into his play, she patiently worked on his fine motor skills, gradually expanding his attention span and focus. Today, he happily holds his pencil and writes with joy. This is the true power of dedicated, empathetic teaching!
July wrapped up as a beautifully balanced month, deeply focused on academics, general knowledge, and dynamic co-curricular activities. From off-campus experiential learning to profound character building, we ensure every single activity serves a direct purpose in your child’s holistic growth.
