Janmashtami: Lessons in Devotion and Joy
Bringing Krishna's Stories Alive in Smart Classrooms
When a child understands the ‘why’ behind a celebration, it becomes a part of their learning. With the same belief, Janmashtami this year at Mount View took a deeply engaging and thoughtful route. Through captivating digital animation, storytelling, and artistic expression inspired from the life stories of Lord Krishna, our students explored the timeless virtues like truth, devotion, wisdom, courage, love, compassion, friendship, responsibility and the importance of standing by what is right. The celebration helped students connect with the festive spirit as an opportunity to understand and, not merely observe.
Ganesh Chaturthi: Wisdom, Beginnings, and Art
Exploring the Thought, Value and Human Lesson within Celebration
Ganesh Chaturthi brought a quiet focus on intellect, creativity, and overcoming obstacles. Through interactive media and guided classroom conversations, students learned about the symbolic significance of Lord Ganesha—from respect for parents and elders to the importance of wisdom in problem-solving. Children explored how qualities such as listening carefully, thinking before acting and respecting others are valuable in everyday life. Younger kids spent time with crayons and clay, molding their own Ganesha and also bringing him to paper, the way they imagined them.
Hindi Diwas: Finding Pride in Our Root
Language Connects; Understanding Imbues it With Meaning.
Language is more than just a way to communicate; it is the carrier of our culture, history, memories, and identity. On Hindi Diwas, our smart classrooms transformed into spaces of linguistic pride. Through engaging stories, interactive modules, and thoughtful classroom activities, students explored the richness, depth, cadence, and cultural heritage of Hindi; while also understanding an important idea: Language is a medium of understanding; it is not knowledge itself.
Knowledge can travel through many languages. What matters is the ability to understand, communicate, listen with respect and connect with another person. Respecting one’s language, therefore, also means respecting the people and traditions that have nurtured it.
Teacher's Day:
The Cradle of All Destinies
You See the Whole Picture, While Understanding Individual Pieces
At the heart of Mount View stands our esteemed Principal, Ms. Rachna Sharma.
Just as a ribbon binds diverse and vibrant blooms into a unified bouquet, our Respected Principal, with her wisdom, grace, and steady vision gracefully holds the different elements of our school together, turning our individual strengths into a masterpiece of collective beauty. As a mentor to teachers and a role model to students, she carries the monumental responsibility of steering the growth.
Language Connects; Understanding Imbues it With Meaning.
“To our Principal and every single teacher: Mount View owes so much to you.”
A school teacher is the key to unlocking human potential. There is no profession on Earth that does not owe its existence to the foundational work of a school teacher: be it an honest doctor, a responsible engineer, an ethical entrepreneur, a fair judge, a curious scientist, a compassionate teacher, a creative artist, a disciplined athlete—they all sit together in the same room, looking up at the same school teacher, learning the foundation of these very qualities, much before anyone can realize.
A school is a microcosm of society, bringing together children with diverse temperaments, backgrounds, and learning paces from all walks of life. Academics is just one chapter our teachers cater to. They gracefully make space for every single child and shoulder the moral duty of instilling kindness, integrity, resilience, social harmony, and civic responsibility, shaping children into compassionate human beings who will build a better world.
We recognize that teaching is a demanding calling. Day after day, our educators nimbly maneuver high expectations from all quarters. Their ability to respond to every situation with empathy, patience, and professional dignity is what makes them true mentors.
This Teacher’s Day, the campus resonated with genuine warmth as our students expressed their love in the sweetest ways imaginable. Corridors and classrooms were filled with handmade greeting cards, emotional messages written straight from young hearts, and thoughtful gestures of appreciation that brought bright smiles to our educators’ faces.
Additionally, the School Management had the privilege of hosting an exclusive afternoon celebration away from lesson plans, filled with music, spontaneous dancing, engaging team games, laughter, and a gourmet dining experience. But this celebration was merely a small reflection of a much larger gratitude.
Thank you for helping us raise not only successful children, but responsible human beings.
Grandparents' Day: Celebrating Our Safest Anchors
Sequestered Sanctuaries, Woven Heritage: Love Chelated Across Generations
The storytellers. The quiet protectors. Often the most patient listeners. They are Grandparents.
We celebrated Grandparents’ Day through heartfelt classroom conversations and creative activities, helping students articulate what makes their grandparents so special – irreplaceable wisdom, unconditional warmth, and towers of strength with grounding force.
As children grow older, they sometimes begin to feel that their grandparents are “too old-fashioned” to understand their world. Technology changes, lifestyles change, language changes, and interests change—and this difference can sometimes become what we casually call a generation gap. But we wanted our children to understand that a difference in age does not have to become a distance in the heart.
We reminded them of something very simple: the grandparents who may sometimes seem slow, repetitive, overly careful or unable to understand today’s ways are often the very same people who handled their early years with extraordinary patience. They answered the same questions again and again, waited while they learned to walk, eat, speak and express themselves, tolerated their little tantrums, celebrated their smallest milestones and stood beside them when they needed help with the simplest things.
We encouraged our children not merely to respect their grandparents because they are elders, but to understand them, include them, listen to them and value their pace and place. Through simple crafts, cards, and guided dialogues, our children learned to bridge this gap with gratitude, recognising how much joy they too can bring into their grandparents’ lives.
